  Observation. A review of children's records indicate that some forms were missing a place to indicate if there is any person not permitted access to a child. This is required information. A system for providing the opportunity for all parents to comment on this requirement is necessary.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. At the time of this inspection the facility was cluttered in all of the licensed areas, including the outdoor play space. It is difficult to determine if it is clean and sanitary when it is cluttered. Clutter can hide items that may be hazardous to the health and safety of the children in care. The licensed areas must be tidied to ensure the health and safety of the children in care, and a system for maintaining tidiness is required. The cord of a night light in the nap room is hanging within reach of children, creating a strangulation hazard. This cord must be fixed in a way that it is not a risk to the children. An opening between the downstairs bathroom and the family storage room gives children potential access to items that are unsafe. A method of ensuring that the opening is blocked during child care hours is required.

A method of ensuring all information is received prior to a child attending the facility is required. The outdoor play space is inspected daily, however those inspections have not been logged. A log of daily, monthly and yearly play space inspections is required.
