  Observation. Licensing observed the following that are accessible to children; - Lysol spray bottle in a container in one of the bathrooms - A kitchen that is unlocked and contains several cleaning chemical bottles

  Observation. There is a storage room with a lock on it however, the door opens enough for a child to put their hand/arm through the opening. Potential for a child to injure themselves.

  Observation. A child that has a support worker however, there is no care plan available for a child requiring extra support.

  Corrective action. A corrective action plan to be submitted to Licensing on how this contravention has been addressed.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following; - there is an unlocked closet/room with adult metal and cloth chairs stacked up high. Potential for a child to access the room, the chairs to fall on them and injure them. - The fridge temperature at 9 degrees Celsius.

  Corrective action. A written response to be submitted to Licensing on how this contravention has been addressed.

  Observation. There is a large picnic table within the outdoor play space that has started to crack at multiple edges of the seat and table. This can act as a pinching hazard.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before December 13, 2023

  Observation. While on site, the following was noted: -Multiple wood equipment/structures that were slippery due to algae (platform and wood perimeters, wood stumps) -Wood ladder which is used for balance, is also slippery and in disrepair in some areas with nails slightly exposed. -Cubbies which are on wheels can act as a tipping hazard. discussed with staff some solutions as the equipment has to be moved when daycare is not in use.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contraventions noted above on or before December 13, 2023

  Observation. Facility provides snacks and parents were not provided with information on the food and drinks given to children. LO discussed different options to address this with the manager.

  If children are to be transported by vehicle by a licensee or a licensee's employees, the licensee must ensure that the driver of the vehicle (b) holds a driver's license that permits the driver to operate the type of vehicle being used.

  Observation. Copy of valid driver license of staff transporting children in daycare van was missing on their file.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all staff's files are complete.
