    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Retaining wall made of wood logs has started to buckle as the wood logs appear to have started to rot from moisture. Licensing expressed concern around the wall having potential of collapsing while the children are in care.

    Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before April 15, 2026

    A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

    Observation. -One child in care requires a care plan but it has not yet been created. -One child has a care plan but there is no clear course of action provided within the plan.

(Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff did not have proof of verification of their Certificate.

    Corrective action. Certificate was verified at the time of inspection.

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Fence within the backyard has started to lean in some areas, there is a blackberry bush on the other side of the fence that is causing the fence to lean. Additionally, there is another section of the fence where the fence is wobbly and some nails are exposed.

    Corrective action. Licensee stated that they would addressing this concern.
