• STAFFING

  Despite this section, licensee may employ a person as a volunteer who does not provide care to children or supervise children if the licensee or the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following (c) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

  Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for one volunteer.

  Corrective action. Licensee stated that they would ask the volunteer for their immunization status.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. The following was noted at the time of inspection: -There is tape on the inside handle of the washroom door which is used to stop children from using the lock. The tape does not allow for the door handle to be adequately cleaned. -Shelf in side room is not secured to wall and can act as a topple hazard. -Various bags of clothing, car rug and containers are stored on the window sill in the side room, these can act as a topple hazard.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before May 8, 2025

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Few areas within the facility require some paint touchups, by the entrance, behind the door in the toy room.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address this contravention on or before May 6, 2024
