- A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The metal perimeter of the outdoor play space has areas where there are sharp/rough corners and edges. A number of injuries/incidents have been related to the metal perimeter. Additionally, children have access to the elevated perimeter which can be hot in the summer and slippery in the winter.
Corrective action. Discussion had with the manager in regard to coming up with a permanent solution to the contravention noted above. Please provide a written plan to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before February 28, 2025.

Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair at all times. Discussion around alternative materials on the lower part of the wall to assist with this.
