A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Secondary means of egress that goes through nap room and upper floor of the house was locked from other side. Staff and children do not have access to the exit to evacuate in case of emergency.

Corrective action. Please ensure that emergency plan set out to mitigate and respond to emergency is in place and adequately set up.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Review of 3 children files observed one child was missing medical insurance plan number on file.

Corrective action. Please ensure that all children files are complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Review of 3 children files observed one child was missing name and phone number of medical practitioner on file.

Corrective action. Please ensure that all children files are complete.

A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

Observation. Toilet cleaner and bleach spray bottle accessible to children.

Corrective action. Licensee removed the hazardous items to make it inaccessible to children.

Observation. Review of 3 children files observed one child was medical practitioner's name and phone number.

Corrective action. Ensure all children files are complete.

Observation. A bottle of bleach/water solution was being stored on an open, low level shelf, accessible to the children in care.

Corrective action. Ensure that children do not have access to any hazardous substances.
