Observation. There were patches of grass were missing on parts of outdoor play area and weed is growing in the grass. .
Corrective action. Licensee will provide a written response to address it.

Observation. The following were observed during today's inspection. -A phone charging cord plugged in and accessible to children - Plastic bags and cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink accessible to children, although, a safety lock was attached to it but it was not on during inspection.
Corrective action. Please ensure that a safe and healthy environment is provided to children at all times.

Observation. There is evidence that the facility has been documenting children's attendance since the routine inspection was conducted. However, upon arrival at the facility today there were no children signed in to care.
Corrective action. Ensure to record attendance daily, including arrival and departure times.

A licensee must do all of the following: (b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote (i) the health, safety and dignity of persons in care,
Observation. Family child care; maximum group size of 7 was exceeded. Upon arrival there were 7 children on site with a staff member. The Licensee arrived shortly after with 3 additional school age children. There were 6 children under the age of 48 months in care. This does not meet the child care licensing requirements for capacity and ages in a family child care program.
Corrective action. The Licensee must not exceed 7 children in care at any time and only 4 out of the 7 can be under the age of 48 months. The Licensee must reduce in numbers immediately to meet the requirements of the child care licensing regulations.

A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).
Observation. There were 4 children on site today that did not have a registration form on site. In addition, Licensing reviewed three children's files and one did not contain the name of number of the child's medical practitioner or the child's immunization status.
Corrective action. Ensure all children's files are complete.

Observation. There are three individuals over the age of 12 living in the home that do not have a completed criminal record check.
Corrective action. Ensure criminal record checks are obtained for all individuals over the age of 12 living in the home.
