  Observation. Children's washroom water temperature was measured at 51.8 degree Celsius.

  Observation. The following was observed in the outdoor play space: -random gardening supplies accessible (ie.plant fertilizer) -piles of rotting wood -large (approximately 15 feet) metal bars leaning on the house -deck paint peeling

  Corrective action. Ensure the outdoor space is a healthy and safe environment and in good repair at all times.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must ensure that children have at all times immediate access to an employee who (a) holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, provided on completion of a course that meets the requirements of Schedule C.

  Observation. The Licensee's first aid expired in November 2020.

  Corrective action. Ensure that children have access to an individual who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate.

• HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

  A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

  Observation. The children's sleep mats and blankets are stored stacked together in a closet posing a risk of cross contamination.

  Corrective action. Establish a system to store children's bedding so each child's bedding is stored separately.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed three children's files. One file did not contain an emergency contact for the child.

  Corrective action. Ensure all children's files are complete.

• STAFFING

  The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

  Observation. There is an individual over the age of 12 living in the home without a criminal record check.

  Corrective action. Ensure all individuals over the age of 12 living in the home have obtained a criminal record check. Licensing provided the Licensee with process information.
