- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. There were wipes used to clean and sanitize on the counter by the sink and under the sink; the cabinet under the sink was not locked.
Corrective action. Ensure any hazardous object is made inaccessible to children

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (d) written policies and procedures that are intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children.
Observation. A screen time and active play policy was missing.
Corrective action. Ensure to have these policies in writing and available for review and that they are shared with parents.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.
Observation. There was a care plan for one child that was signed and dated by the parent, however the plan did not state the child's allergy or symptoms or have all of the actions required to be taken listed
Corrective action. Ensure care plans are developed in consultation with the parent(s) and have all of the relevant information documented.
