  Observation. LO observed that one staff has a criminal record check issued to a different organization.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Children's files are kept, but some are missing an emergency contact in addition to parents. It was also discussed that the staff do not have access to all the information on record while off site. Manager stated that they do have information on his phone, but will ensure that Emergency cards will be added to first aid kit to ensure all information and permissions are included.

  Observation. Staff have files on site, with qualifications, resume and CRC's, but one staff has no references as required.

  A record for each child containing the date of enrolment in the facility is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(b)]; A record for each child containing the name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(a)]

  Observation. LO reviewed all children's records and observed the following: -date of enrolment not is not kept for 1 child -immunization status is not kept for 3 children

• NUTRITION AND FOOD SERVICES / NutritionNon-critical

  Healthy eating and nutritional habits are promoted. [CCLR Sec.48(1)(b)]

  Observation. During snack time LO observed children helping themselves to crackers right out of the original packaging which poses a risk of cross contamination. In addition, LO asked the staff how the snacks are stored. The staff shared that the non-perishable snack foods are stored in a locked cupboard. LO observed that the snacks such as crackers were not sealed appropriately after use. Discussion took place with regard to how food is stored after opening to avoid risk of food spoiling.
