Observation. Licensing officer observed a child sleeping in a stroller outside the glass door entrance to the facility. . The staff was inside the facility while the child was left outside unsupervised.

Observation. Licensing observed a child sleeping in a stroller in the outdoor area. The stroller was covered with a swaddle blanket and only the feet of the child were visible. Licensing brought up to the Licensee's attention that Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement warning about a heat alert with maximum temperature records in Greater Vancouver including the City of Richmond. Each of these issues pose hazards to the child in care.

Observation. Licensing Officer observed an unsecured wooden table top reclined against the shed wall in the outdoor space posing a hazard. Licensing observed the stove, kitchen and appliances were accessible to children in care presenting potential hazards.

Observation. Licensing Officer observed a broken felt tile at the entrance of the facility, visible dust accumulated on the baseboards and window ledges in the main activity room, play room and nap room. In addition Licensing observed light switches, walls, chairs and a couch which appeared to be stained and in need of cleaning.
