  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. LO observed several areas in the room where walls are in need of painting - the existing paint has chipped, and walls have been patched up. These areas are no longer easy to clean or in good repair.

  Observation. Staff clean and sanitize the facility, but the furniture is aged and showing wear and tear. The shelves / tables / pool table all have chips or exposed areas that are unable to be sanitized. There are also chips in the walls and paint that has scratched off over time. The storage space between the room and the gym could used organizing as there is bleach and cleaning supplies accessible to children and there may be times when children walk between the two rooms unsupervised. Manager stated that they have applied for a grant to update the space, and will update licensing through the process.

  Observation. LO conducted a sampling of the children's records and the following was observed: -emergency contact is not kept for 1 child -immunization status is not kept for 15 children

  Observation. LO observed that a criminal record check for 1 staff has not been obtained. Licensee stated that an application has been completed and submitted to the Criminal Records Review Program.
