  Observation. LO observed an ECE alone with a child. An ECE/IT staff was scheduled to arrive 15 minutes later.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. LO observed the following: - two children had allergies listed in their registration records however there was no information on how to support them. Staff stated they no longer have an allergy however there is no documentation to support that. - an epi pen expired in December 2025.

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES / Emergency Training and EquipmentNon-critical

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed in one of the classrooms, fire drills have not been conducted since September 2025.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. While there is a maintenance log that staff / managers use for the facility (google drive), there were some areas that LO observed during todays visit - baseboards and lower area of walls are starting to show signs of wear and tear, water damage, chips and peeling paint at doorknobs. There was also concerns around the amounts of items that are in a shared bathroom which is taking away from the space.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. In each of the 5 rooms, LO observed a few items that may require cleaning, repair or replacement, such as - step stools, table tops, sensory table that is loose / wobbly, children's couch peeling, book shelf with loose shelves, paint chipping off walls, bathroom cupboards, bench wearing.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Hazardous Objects and SubstancesNon-critical

  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. In one nap room, a bleach spray bottle was stored within reach of children, and items stored in curtained off area were put away in a pile with some items falling in the area behind the door - which could make it hard to enter or exit this space.
