    Observation. Observation: LO observed a child over the age of 6 attending the care program. The age does not comply with the licensed care program. Manager stated the child is temporarily attending due to their school being closed for the holidays.

    Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

    Observation. LO observed: - allergy information for a child is posted in the classroom however their emergency consent records indicate additional allergies that are not posted for all staff to be aware of. - allergy information for a child indicates an allergy in their emergency consent records however staff stated the child no longer has an allergy. Discussion took place to ensure children's information is current and all records reflect the same information.

    Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]

    Observation. Licensing observed sleeping mats were stored with bedding touching which poses a risk of cross contamination.

    Observation. Licensing observed 4 children in care with various allergies however only 1 had a care plan.

    Observation. Licensing observed allergy information found on emergency consent cards differ from those found on their registration documents. Discussion took place to ensure when information is updated, to update all records.

Licensing observed the following staff records: - 1 did not have any documentation - 2 were missing record of work history - 1 was missing Responsible Adult documentation - 3 were missing evidence that they complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs - 2 were missing criminal record checks - 3 were missing character references
