  Observation. Licensing observed that information on food given to children is not always made available to parents.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. Licensing reviewed a samplings of children’s records: - One child’s care plan did not include information on what the allergies are. - One child who requires an EpiPen did not have a care plan in place. - One child’s care plan had not been updated since March 2025. - One child’s allergy information is inconsistent across records. Additionally, this child has a care plan related to a diagnosis that staff were unaware of. This care plan was located in the Under 36 Months classroom. - One additional child has a care plan related to a diagnosis that staff were unaware of; this care plan was also located in the Under 36 Months classroom.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed a samplings of children’s records: - One child is listed on the centre’s Allergy List as requiring an EpiPen; however, their registration records do not document any allergies or medication. - One child is identified as having allergies on the Allergy List; however, their registration records do not reflect this information.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that a child's asthma inhaler had no information indicating who the inhaler is for and that the inhaler expired in March 2024.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Furniture, Equipment and FixturesNon-critical

  Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the children's sleeping mats are stored vertically in individual slants. Licensing observed when storing the sleeping mats, the bedding is not removed resulting in the bedding touching one another. Discussion took place with the manager with regards to the risk of cross contamination in the way the bedding is stored.

• STAFFING / Character and skill requirementsNon-critical

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed a practicum student did not have character references on file.
