  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. While there is a plan in place, the fire extinguishers throughout the area of this program in the school have expired and require inspection.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. LO observed that a child with a life threatening allergy who requires an epi-pen to be administered did not have a request for administration of medication form completed.

  Care plans are not reviewed at least once a year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. [CCLR Sec. 58(2)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed that a care plan for a child with a life threatening allergy has not been reviewed since October 2019. Discussion took place with the manager with regards to reviewing care plans at least once a year.
