Observation. The fire extinguisher required to be serviced last year in May.

Observation. The fence in the front yard had some panels missing. The Licensee advised that a bear barged through and that the children are not using this area until this will be addressed.
Corrective action. Please ensure the broken fence is fixed.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During inspection: -Upon arrival Licensing observed that Manager did not wash hands after wiping a child's nasal discharge. Licensing asked the Manager to wash hands. Importance of hand washing was discussed. -Licensing officer observed one metal paper clip and one art/craft bead on the floor of the play area; accessible to children. Manager corrected this during inspection.
Corrective action. A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Licensing officer reviewed 3 children's files and 2 children files did not have doctor's phone number and name and phone number of an emergency contact.
Corrective action. Please ensure all children files are complete before they start attending daycare.
