    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. The diaper mat was wiped down with baby wipes and the licensee did not change the gloves in-between changes.

    Corrective action. The Licensee said she will use Lysol wipes for wiping the diaper mat and change the gloves in-between diaper changes moving forward.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One of the children's ottoman had holes in it exposing the foam.

    Corrective action. The Licensee temporarily addressed the contravention.

    Observation. At the time of the inspection there were 9 children in care. The facility is Licensed for 8 children.

    Corrective action. The Licensee said that there were only 9 children for a short period when the after school children were picked up. The Licensee showed email confirmation that one family will leave, which will put the capacity back to 8.

    Observation. Manager's first aid recently expired. Manager stated that they have enrolled for a first aid course and will have it renewed on January 28, 2023.Licesning viewed proof of registration.

    Observation. Upon inspection of the backyard, there was one board unattached from the fence that a child could potentially go through and head into the neighbours yard.

    Corrective action. Please ensure the yard is enclosed and free from harm.
