  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. -Bathroom sink used for children handwashing is in need of cleaning. Manager tried to clean it during inspection. - A foam tile placed under the cubby area has top covering peeling halfway - Two bottom shelves at children's height used for storing toys have worn out edges exposing the material underneath, making it difficult to clean and sanitize effectively.

    Corrective action. Manager said that these items will be addressed over the weekend and licensing will be notified.

    A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

    Observation. Departure dates were not recorded for several days in December 2025 & January 2026.

    Corrective action. Manager said attendance records will be checked to ensure departure times are recorded daily.

    Observation. Fire drill for November 2024 was not practiced.

    Corrective action. Manager said Fire drill will be practiced with all children this month and it will be documented.

    Observation. the following pieces of equipment were found to be in poor repair , the carpet by cubbies area and there is cuddly chair that the material is no longer in good shape, the licensee has a plan to removed the chair and replace the carpet over the Christmas break.

    Corrective action. please replace or repair the chair and carpet
