    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. During inspection Licensing observed the following in the outdoor play area: -A large gap under one fence panel and several smaller gaps under other fence panels -Fence is showing signs of wear and tear with one wooden slat missing in a panel.

    Corrective action. Manager said the gaps will be closed off and the fence will be repaired in Spring.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During inspection in the indoor play area Licensing observed: -Container of laundry detergent and affresh washing machine cleaner pod accessible to children. -Washing dryer in use was accessible to children. Manager removed these two items and closed the door of the laundry area during the inspection.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that children have immediate access to someone who has a valid first aid.

Manager will either book an appointment or apply online to renew the criminal record checks through criminal records review program in Victoria.

    Corrective action. Please ensure all residents over the age of 12 who live in the home have a current criminal record check.

The Licensee removed the items while Licensing was on site.
