    Observation. No policies and procedures on-site. The staff was also not able to present this document to Licensing on-site.

    Corrective action. Ensure policies and procedures are available on-site and that staff are aware of where it can be found.

  • POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

    A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

    Observation. Licensing observed approximately less than 10 children's emergency supplies scattered on the shelf at the office at the facility.

    Corrective action. Ensure that there are enough emergency supplies available for all the children in care, and should all be placed in a container/bag, and should be taken out every time emergency drills are completed.

    A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

    Observation. No record of the fire and emergency drills. The staff said that they typically record it on the attendance sheet, though when Licensing checked past attendance records, the drills were not recorded. This item is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #MZIN-DDTP32 on 12/Feb/2025.

    Corrective action. Monthly fire drills and yearly emergency drills are to be completed and recorded.

    Observation. Two children did not have a photo available on file.
