    In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

    Observation. Other than a first aid certification, Licensing observed that there were no other documentation available for a substitute employee that was on-site. The facility manager explained that the staff typically works at a different location. This is a repeat contravention on inspection report #CGEE-C68UB3 - 25-Aug-2021.

    Corrective action. All employees must have all required documents as per CCLR s. 19 (Character and skill requirements) onsite.

    Observation. CCFL reviewed 10 children's files & found that 2 lacked their enrolment dates.

  • LICENSING

    A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

    Observation. The current manager's name is displayed w/o "manager." Also, the previous manager's name is still displayed.

    Corrective action. The manager's name must be displayed conspicuously in the facility.

  • RECORDS AND REPORTING

    The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

    Observation. A child requiring extra support's support needs were listed amongst other children w/ allergies. However, there was no: - care plan or instructions on how to adminster her medication - photos of her or any children on this list

    Corrective action. A care plan must be created in consultation w/ the child's parent. FHA provided the employee w/ a copy of Food Allergy Canada's Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan. The employee stated that the child hasn't attended recently & will return in 2 weeks. Photos of each child must be posted by their allergies so all employees (especially substitutes or new employees) can easily identify those children.
