    Observation. One staff's CRC record on file had an expiry date of Sept. 10, 2025. The facility manager communicated to Licensing today that the renewal is in process and has been submitted to the Criminal Records Review Board.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed several wood pieces leaning against the wall in the hallway, which children pass when going to the outdoor play area or the other classroom. These items may potentially fall on children.

    Corrective action. Today the manager said to Licensing that the facility is in the process of removing these wood pieces leaning against the wall to ensure the safety of children.

    Observation. Upon a review of four staff files, Licensing observed that one staff member's criminal record check was expired. Upon discussion with the manager it was noted that renewal is in process and that the staff member does not work alone with the children.
