• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 3 children's files and 2 children were missing record of their immunization status.

  Corrective action. Please obtain, for each child, a record of their immunization status prior to enrollment.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed 2 columns, approximately 3 feet in height, stationed in an area where children pass by to access the playground. The columns were made from a stone-like material and they were tippable. These were removed at the time of the inspection.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment at all times while children are in care.

  A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed a cleaning solution in an unlocked cupboard. This washroom is used by the children.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children to do have access to hazardous substances.

  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. There was no record of the yearly emergency drill for 2021.

  Corrective action. Please keep a record of the yearly emergency drill (earthquake).
