    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The change mat was ripped and unable to be cleaned and sanitized efficiently

    Corrective action. Manager addressed it on site by providing a new mat. The Manager confirmed mats will be checked for rips and replaced as needed.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed a kettle that was plugged in and warm to the touch, located on the edge of the stove accessible to children. The concern is that the kettle and water may fall on a child.

    Corrective action. The Manager made the kettle inaccessible while licensing was on site and will review safe practices with staff.

    Observation. the carpet in the infant and toddler room has stains and is in need of cleaning the licensee stated the carpets are cleaned twice a year.

    Corrective action. please ensure the carpet in both areas is cleaned to ensure the health and safety of the children in care and that the cleaning schedule is sufficient to ensure the carpet is reasonable clean at all times.
