Observation. Not all educators certificates are posted in a prominent place. This was discussed and reviewed with the manager at the time of the inspection. As per Section 11(4) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation, ensure all certificates are posted. Provide confirmation/evidence of compliance to Licensing by noted compliance date.
- C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. The fire exit leading to the long set of cement stairs was impeded by storage of rugs, toys, and shelving. As per Section 15(1)(b), ensure emergency exits do not block or hamper an exit in case of fire or other emergency. Provide confirmation/evidence to Licensing by noted compliance date.

Observation. Not all employee files have complete character references. Some files contain a reference form to document telephone reference checks however, not all are complete (full names of reference person not provided and no indication of who completed the check). This was discussed and reviewed with the manager at the time of the inspection and it was suggested to either obtain written character references or ensure the telephone process is complete and documented on the form. As per Section 19(1)(b), ensure character references are obtained for all employees. Provide confirmation/evidence of compliance to Licensing by noted compliance date.

Observation. Observations: Facility staff are appropriately trained and experienced. System in place to review contents of staffing files. CRC's, first aid, ECE and Assistant certificates valid Contravention: Some staff files immunization declaration documents, signed pre COVID - 19, have the check box as "complete" or "incomplete" without evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status or what, in the staff's immunization schedule, the staff is incomplete for.

Observation. Observations: The majority of the facility appears to be safe and free from hazards - hot water measured below 49°C and fridge temperature below 4° C. Contravention: In one room the sink that the children wash their hands in is very slow to drain.
