Observation. The hot tub directly outside an emergency exit is unlocked and chemicals are accessible to children. Access to a tub of water presents as a drowning risk. The chemicals could lead to potential poisoning. Immediately ensure children do not have access to the hot tub water and chemicals. Provide evidence of correction.

Observation. Radon testing results are outstanding. To ensure children are not exposed to any harmful substance, radon testing is required. Testing will determine if the radon levels are within acceptable levels. The radon test kit was recently sent away for analysis. Provide the radon testing results once received.

Observation. An employee file is incomplete and missing character references. Complete records must be obtained prior to employment. Ensure the employee file is complete by Feb. 10, 2026 and provide evidence of the correction.

Observation. A radon testing kit was in place last spring and into the 2024/2025 winter months. The kit was sent away for processing with the results report provided to Licensing. The report had discrepancies and did not meet the testing requirements. Retesting will be completed this fall/winter 2025/2026. Ensure the testing is for a minimum of 91 continuous days during November 2025 - March 2026. Once retesting is complete, provide the report to Licensing.

Observation. Managers name was not posted. As per Section 11 (1) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation, ensure the managers name is posted. This was corrected during the inspection (CDI).

Observation. Diaper rash cream that states "keep out of reach of children" was accessible to the children. This was made inaccessible during the inspection. A child sized toilet training potty was filled with urine. Ensure this is immediately emptied and sanitized after use. This was addressed during the inspection. The fire extinguisher has not been serviced since 2022. Yearly servicing is required. Provide to Licensing confirmation servicing has been completed and what system that will be implemented to ensure servicing occurs yearly.
