Observation. Upon reviewing employee records it was noted that evidence of reference checks being completed was not present for one employee. Reference checks are required to demonstrate that the employee is of good character. Notify Licensing of correction to this contravention on or by November 12, 2025.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that Other Identifying Information is required to be added. Care plans require further information in order to be complete.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records it was noted that further documentation is required in order for files to be complete. One record did not have a Criminal Record Check clearance letter, which is a recurring contravention from a previous inspection. The facility is in the process of switching to an online document service, therefore some documents may be stored there as well. Records must be available for review upon request, and stored together at the facility.

Observation. Upon review of a minor incident log and discussion with employee, it was noted that an Incident Report was due to be submitted.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records it was observed that one record requires a Criminal Record Review Board clearance letter in order to be complete.

Observation. Reviewed a sampling of child records and observed that one care plan requires further information in order to be complete. Upon review of attendance records it was observed that children are signed in and out of programs upon arrival/departure as needed, including if a child leaves one program to "visit" another (within capacity and age groupings). The facility is using an app to track attendance, and it appears to be working adequately to ensure accurate records. Reviewed the facility Minor Incident log, which is also available on the app used, no concerns. Reviewed fire drill records and discussed the Emergency Preparedness Plan practice recently completed. Reviewed the outdoor maintenance log, which appeared to be complete.

Observation. During inspection it was noted that one sleep mat had a pillow which was in contact with the sleep mat stored above it. In order to reduce risk of spread of communicable disease, please ensure mats and bedding do not come in contact with each other during storage.

Observation. Reviewed a sampling of child records, all of which appeared to be complete. Reviewed a minor incident on the digital app, as well as a hard copy, no concerns noted. Discussed the use of digital record keeping. As long as records are available for Licensing review, and are maintained as required, Licensing has no concerns using digital programs for these records. Upon review of an attendance record, and discussion with employee, it was determined that one child was not signed out of a program when they transferred to another program in the facility. Please ensure children are signed out from each program as necessary when attending other age appropriate programs in the facility.
