Observation. Upon review of the employee records, it was noted that the validations of certificates of qualification were not on-file. In order to ensure that employees are adequately qualified to be employed to carry out assigned duties, having the certificate validation is necessary. Notify Licensing of correction to this contravention by adding the validations to employee records on or by December 4, 2025.

Observation. Upon arrival at the facility it was observed that there were 11 children present in the upstairs Multi-Age Child Care program space. The maximum capacity of each Multi-Age program is 8. The Licensee divided the two groups to ensure no more than 8 in each group during inspection. This contravention was resolved during inspection, no further action required.

Observation. Upon arrival at the facility Licensing Officer noted that the fence surrounding the front play area has been removed. Upon discussion the fence was damaged due to trees falling on it, and it was removed. The Licensee is working with the owner of the trees to have the fence replaced. Please submit a Health and Safety plan regarding how the upstairs program's outdoor time is conducted while this play area is not accessible.

Observation. Upon review of child records it was noted that one requires a care plan for a health condition.

Observation. During inspection it was noted that a small "office" nook area that was accessible to children contained several tool boxes, as well as loose tools. This area was made secure and inaccessible during inspection. The contravention was resolved during inspection. As noted above, the front yard play area has had the fence removed. A Health and Safety plan is required to be in effect until the fence is replaced.

Observation. Upon review of records, and discussion with the Licensee it was observed that fire drills were not documented as practiced for several months. Discussed the current system in place, and its effectiveness.

Observation. Facility fire extinguishers were due for service on November 13, 2021.

Observation. Air conditioning unit located in the outdoor play space is accessible to children, not covered and may pose a risk to health and safety.

Observation. During inspection it was noted that a Play Space Maintenance log was required. Discussed requirement that regular inspections of the site be completed, some may be daily, others monthly, annually or as needed. Reviewed child records, employee records, Minor Incident log, fire/emergency preparedness practice records. Discussed not removing pages from Minor Incident Log book, and having a system in place ensuring all emergency cards have all required information. Some emergency cards were missing other identifying information.
