• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of registration records one record requires a care plan. Care Plans are required to ensure that employees know of any medical, developmental or behavioural conditions a child is diagnosed with, what the symptoms are, and how to respond if any symptoms are observed during care. Care Plans are to be developed with input from the parents to ensure the plan is adequate to meet the child's needs. Notify Licensing by May 14, 2026 that a plan has been implemented to ensure care plans are developed as necessary, upon registration.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of the facility Criminal Record Checks for persons over 12 years of age are expired and must be renewed in order to demonstrate that the person(s) are of good character as per Section 20 (1) of CCLR. Notify Licensing when the applications have been submitted for review by the Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services on or by May 7, 2025. Licensing Officer will provide Criminal Record Check application information to the Licensee. The Licensee's first aide has expired and must be renewed in order to ensure children have access to an employee with valid First Aide and CPR certificate. Ensure that the Licensee's first aide is renewed and a copy of the certificate is submitted to Licensing for review on or by May 7, 2025. The Licensee is currently registered in an upcoming first aide class.

  Observation. Upon review of child records it was noted that care plans were required for identified developmental differences or medical conditions, as per Section 58 of the CCLR. Ensure Licensing is advised when the care plans have been developed and added to the children's records as required, on or by May 7, 2025.

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon discussion it was noted that the Emergency Preparedness Plan has not been documented as practiced in the past 12 months. Once the Emergency Preparedness Plan has been practiced, ensure documentation is updated to include this information.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon discussion it was noted that the Emergency Preparedness Plan has not been practiced in the past 12 months. Ensure the Emergency Preparedness Plan practice is conducted annually.

  Observation. Fire Drill record, Minor Incident Log and Attendance record reviewed and no concerns noted. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was observed that one did not have a care card number, and two did not have a medical practitioners name and /or number.
