    Observation. Fire extinguisher tags and gauges indicates that they are in need of service. The fire extinguisher on the upper level of the facility is not mounted. It is important to ensure that all equipment related to fire safety is in good working order and meets the BC Fire code. Submit a written compliance plan, and photographic evidence, that demonstrate that this issue has been addressed on or before April 18, 2025. No record of 2024 emergency plan practice was available. A record of this serves as a reminder of when the plan was last practiced and demonstrates that it has been completed. Submit a written compliance plan to address this issue on or before April 18 2025.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. The backyard play area has areas accessible to children that pose a risk to safety. To the right of the patio space is a steep dirt hill that has uneven terrain, holes in the ground, loose bricks and an exposed wire. Also, in several spots in the grass there are large holes which pose a tripping hazard. Submit a written compliance plan, accompanied with photographic evidence, outlining how these issues have been addressed on or before April 14, 2025.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. Three persons who reside on the premises do not have valid criminal record checks on file. It is a requirement that all those who are ordinarily present over the age of 12 have a criminal record check processed through the Criminal Records Review Program. The Licensee stated that these persons do not interact with children during the course of the day. Submit a compliance plan that includes evidence that these criminal record checks have been applied for on or before April 14, 2025.
