Observation. Licensing examined a sample of the staff records at the facility and concluded that the method for ensuring the completeness of records is inadequate. There were deficiencies, including a missing validation for a renewed Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Licence to Practice, as well as missing validation for an unsigned first aid certificate. Submit to Licensing by the specified follow-up date, confirming that all staff records have been reviewed and that any missing required documentation has been included. Additionally, provide details on how the system for ensuring records are complete has been updated to maintain ongoing compliance.

Observation. On review of staff records, one employee had an expired criminal record review on file. Licensing discussed with staff that the employee must not work with children until a current criminal record review is received and that RCMP checks are not accepted. Submit to Licensing by the follow up date requested, a detailed plan ensuring compliance.

Observation. During today's inspection, staff records were reviewed and found to be incomplete. Criminal record reviews for employees must be through the Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP). Licensing provided the Licensee and Manager website links to the CRRP via email. The follow up date provided is to allow for the time required for the Licensee to register with the CRRP and submit employee record review applications. RCMP checks are currently present in the employee files.
