Beyond The Bell Out of School Care

Observation. The manager's name was not posted in the facility. In order to ensure that parents/guardians are informed regarding who the manager of the facility is and how to contact them if needed, the name and contact information must be posted prominently in the facility. One employee has an Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate, which must be prominently displayed in the facility. Certificates being displayed prominently in the facility is required in order for parents/guardians to be informed of when an Early Childhood Educator or Assistant is providing care. Notify Licensing of posting of the Manager name and contact information and Certificate of Qualification prominently in the facility on or by November 25, 2025.

Observation. It was observed that children were going to play in the outdoor (fenced) play areas without communicating to employees, and without employees present outside to supervise. Children must be supervised at all times in order to reduce risk to their health and safety while in care. Notify Licensing of the updates to the supervision policy and practices in order to maintain continuous supervision on or by November 25, 2025.

Observation. Upon review of employee records it was noted that one did not have a Criminal Record Check present. This was added to the file during the inspection, and was noted to be valid at this time. The contravention was resolved during the inspection. All other required information was present and valid for all employee records.

Observation. The supervision policy requires review and revision to ensure children are supervised at all times. Children are required to be supervised at all times to reduce risk to their health and safety while in the care of the Licensee while inside or outside of the facility, on or off-site. Notify Licensing of the review and the revisions made to the supervision policy and submit the policy to Licensing on or by November 25, 2025.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that one required a care plan.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records it was noted that two required a statement of status of immunization in regards to COVID-19.

Observation. During the site inspection it was noted that the sandbox area in the back yard does not have a cover. Please ensure the sandbox is covered when not in use.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records, one was noted to not have immunization status indicated. Discussed care plans. Reviewed fire drill log, discussed ensuring date of practice is documented. Reviewed minor incident log (staff communication book) and forms.
