Observation. The Licensee has not conducted the annual emergency evacuation drill for the facility. The most recent practice was in February 2025. Lack of regular emergency evacuation drills poses a risk to children, as it may cause confusion or delays during emergencies, increasing the chance of injury. Regular practice helps ensure safety by keeping staff and children prepared. Submit confirmation the required annual practice has been completed no later than April 27, 2026.

Observation. Licensing observed that cleaning supplies are kept on a lower shelf in the washroom closet. Keeping hazardous items or substances accessible raises health and safety risks for the children in care. The concern was discussed and reviewed, at the time of this inspection, with the Licensee. Submit to Licensing by the requested follow-up date on how you have resolved this issue.

Observation. Licensing reviewed child records. Documentation is missing record of any persons not permitted access to the child. Submit by the follow up date requested confirmation all current child records have been reviewed and updated to include this information.

Observation. Criminal record reviews for persons residing at the facility have expired.

Observation. The mat used for diapering is not in good repair. Please respond by the follow up date provided that this concern has been addressed.

Observation. Licensing reviewed required policies with the Licensee the following are missing: -Safe Transportation Policy -Nutrition Policy -Behavioural Guidance Policy In addition, the following policies/plans require updating: -Repayment Agreement (include all circumstances in which a refund may be given) -Emergency Evacuation Plan is missing some information Resources have been provided to the Licensee via email.
