    A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

    Observation. No record of Emergency drill for 2023. Last emergency drill was practiced and recorded on Nov 2022. The manager stated that it was practiced (summer) but not recorded.

    Corrective action. Ensure that current records respecting fire/emergency drills are kept.

    A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing noted a certificate was not validated by the ECE Registry.

    Corrective action. The Licensee validated the certificate on site. A copy will be placed in the staff file. Ensure staff who hold an educator or assistant certificate have their certificate validated through the ECE Registry.

The following was observed in the outdoor play area: -There is insufficient fall zone clearance around a little tikes slide.
