A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed children's dirty finger prints on the wall in the bathroom. The Manager cleaned the wall immediately.

Corrective action. Ensure high touch surfaces are cleaned regularly.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. LO observed and discussed the following with the Manager: Outdoor play area: various concrete/cement pieces on the ground were accessible to the children. This poses tripping/fall hazard.

Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are in care.

Observation. Manager name was not displayed in the facility.

Corrective action. Ensure to display manager's name prominently in the facility.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.

Observation. Review of 3 children files observed one child was missing date of enrollment.

Corrective action. Ensure all children files are complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Review of 3 children files observed one child was missing emergency contact name and contact information on file.

Corrective action. Ensure all children files are complete.
