    Observation. - Diaper change mat has a rip, creating a surface that cannot be cleaned and disinfected properly. - High touch surface such as the bathroom cabinetry and doors are full of debris and finger prints. - Mould is growing in the sink.

    A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

    Observation. The fire extinguisher is overdue for servicing.

    Observation. All children's files were reviewed. Out of the 4 reviewed, 2 were missing information for a medical practitioner.

    Corrective action. Ensure information for the medical practioner or a walk in clinic is on file.

(Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed a ECE certificate that was not validated through the system maintained by the ECE Registry. The Licensee validated the certificate on site.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. - Fridge temperature not maintained between o and 4 degrees celcius. Fridge temperature measured at 7 degrees celcius. - Plastic bags were stored in unsecured drawers and in the kitchen cabinets.

    Corrective action. Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. - Furniture, equipment, and fixtures were in disrepair, including the nap room door and the kitchen cabinets. -Outdoor toys are showing signs of mould. The toys need to be cleaned before children continue playing with them.

    Corrective action. Ensure the furniture, equipment and fixtures within the facility are clean and in good repair.

    A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

    Observation. During the inspection of the physical facility a bleach jug was observed under the kitchen sink. The cupboard did not have a lock on it and the children could easily access the jug.

    Corrective action. Please ensure all hazardous substances are out of reach of children.
