    Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

    Observation. In review of the attendance records, Licensing noted, the maximum group size of 8 was exceeded for 30 minutes on June 28, 2024. The Manager said at no time does she recall exceeding the maximum capacity and may have made an error on the attendance record.

    Corrective action. Ensure the maximum capacity for the service type; multi-age is not exceeded.

    Observation. Outdoor playground: various sizes of wooden planks and a heavy cement piece of gardening furniture were stored within the outdoor play space and accessible to the children; this poses a risk for potential fall.

    Corrective action. Ensure that a health and safe environment is provided at all times while children are in care.

    Observation. The following was observed: - several balloons and large boxes are stored in the garage area. This area is used as the entrance to the facility and is accessible by the children. - Protective padding on the fire place mantle is coming off exposing the sharp mantle edge.
