    A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

    Observation. - Tape used to secure the cord to the video camera located in the nap room is unsecured and could easily be removed by the child sleeping in the crib below it. The cord poses a strangulation hazard - There are poisonous plants located in the children's playground

  • HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. The diaper change mat had a plastic over on it that had diaper cream still present. The manager stated that the mat had been cleaned but the cream still remained on the mat.
