    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Five wooden tables in the facility are worn. Some of the tables have most of the finish removed from wear and tear and would not be able to be sanitized.

    Corrective action. Ensure table are repaired or replaced.

    A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed that the Licence and the name of the manager was not displayed in a prominent place in the facility. the Licence had been found on a shelf at the back of the facility with several items stored in front of it.

    Corrective action. Ensure the Licence is displayed in a prominent place in the facility and that the name of the Manager is also displayed.

    Observation. Medication was found in the first aid backpack for a child who is about to begin the program. No specific instruction or plan for this individual child was located or available.

    Corrective action. Ensure that any medication provided by the parent to be administered to the child is specified in the child's care plan or record with specific times and in what amount to be administered.
