  • C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?Critical

Observation. The number of children in care at the facility exceeds the maximum capacity of children allowed afterschool when the Licensee's own children come home from school. A response is required by June 25, 2026 to outline how the risk will be mitigated.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. The attendance records for the facility are incomplete as the Licensee's children under the age of 12 are not accounted for on the record. A response is required by June 25, 2026 to outline how the risk has been mitigated. The emergency contacts in one child's file do not contain the full names of the people who are authorized to pick up the child. Documentation in the facility accident, illness and unexpected logbook outlined a child who sought medical attention after being sent home from the facility with an unexpected illness on February 26, 2025. Observation. Documentation in the minor accident, illness and unexpected events log outlined a substitute employee using punishment as a form of behaviour guidance on April 23, 2025 and May 1, 2025. Punishment is not a form of acceptable behaviour guidance for children and is not outlined in the facilities behaviour guidance policy. A response is required by May 16, 2025 that outlines how behavour guidance will be appropriate to the age and development of the child receiving the guidance.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
