    Observation. There was insufficient water in the emergency supplies kit.

    Corrective action. The Licensee said that she will add more water and remove the expired water bottles.

    A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

    Observation. Children's food are kept on the counter from drop off until lunch time; and this includs dairy and meat products.

    Corrective action. The Licensee advised that she will either refrigerate the children's food or request parents to pack ice-packs in their lunch bags.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Upon inspection, licensing observed the following: - A toddler playing with a balloon. Licensing is concerned as this poses as a suffocation hazard. - Wine bottles accessible to children that are located in the fridge.

    Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play area located at the front of the facility, the fence had missing panels. The Licensee said she is waiting for warmer weather to replace these panels.

    Corrective action. Please ensure furniture, equipment and fixtures are in good repair.
