    Observation. - One child did not have a doctor / clinic name and phone number on file - One child did not have an emergency contact on file / one child's emergency contact on file were the parents This item is a repat contravention on routine inspection report #CGEE-CRGRCP on 03/May2023.

    Corrective action. Ensure that children's files are complete, and that the name of the child's doctor or clinic name along with the phone number is on file. Emergency contacts should also be different from the parent information.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. The 1st aid kit's benzalkonium chloride wipes (antiseptic topical skin cleanser) expired in 2018/12.

    Corrective action. Please replace w/ fresh benzalkonium chloride wipes.

    Corrective action. FCC permits ≤ 4 children < 48 months @ any 1 time. Ways to come into compliance: • limit care to 4 children < 48 months @ any 1 time • apply for a temporary placement (approval subject to CCFL's approval)

    Observation. *REPEAT VIOLATION FROM FIR #CGEE-C49UZ5 (23/JUN/2021)* 7 children were in care today, which included 5 children 26-46 months. The licensee explained that: • these 5 children < 48 months attend on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays • 4 children < 48 months attend on Tuesdays & Thursdays • she prefers to care for children ≥ 24 months

    Corrective action. Family Child Care permits ≤ 4 children < 48 months. FHA & the licensee discussed ways to come into compliance: • limiting care to 4 children < 48 months @ any 1 time • applying for a temporary placement (approval subject to FHA's approval)

    Observation. There were 6 children in care today of the following ages: 45 mos, 36 mos, 35 mos, 34 mos, 29 mos, & 23.5 mos. There's another child enrolled who's 46 mos, who was absent today. Schedule E (s. 34 [group sizes & employee to children ratios]) stipulates the following for Family Child Care where there's no child < 12 mos present: A maximum group size of 7 children, having ≤ 4 children < 48 mos, & of these 4 children, ≤ 2 children < 24 mos.

    Corrective action. CCFL & the licensee discussed ways to come into compliance (giving notice to families, amending the attendance schedule to care for ≤ 4 children @ any 1 time, applying for a temporary placement).

    Observation. A substitute employee's file only showed 8 hrs of RA training. The licensee stated that the employee has the full 20 hrs & will obtain a copy of the remaining 12 hrs.

    Corrective action. All requirements of CCLR s. 19 must be obtained by employees' 1st day of employment.
