  Observation. The following was observed: a. No single use towels in the bathroom b. Change mat is torn exposing the foam inside, making it hard to sanitize c. Diaper cream placed on the bottom shelf of the change table accessible to children

  Observation. Upon inspection of registration forms, a child with an indicated medical condition did not have a care plan. The Manager was unable to verbally explain steps on how to respond to the child.

  Corrective action. The Manager explained that she will follow up with the child's parents.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following; - Blind cords that are at an accessible level to children - Uncoiled garden hose - Re-using cloth towels used for hand drying. Education was provided on an alternative method for hand-drying.

• MEDICATION

  If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.

  Observation. There was no record of medication given to a child and no written directions specified by the parent regarding the administration of medication. The manager stated that a verbal conversation did occur.

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is written document if a licensee has agreed to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing observed a care plan that did not identify signs and symptoms

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is a record showing the signs and symptoms recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

  Observation. During the follow-up inspection 7 children's files were reviewed and one child who was allergic to peanuts required a care plan, however a care plan was not available. Anaphylaxis care plan was shared with the licensee and education was provided regarding care plans being reviewed annually.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all children requiring extra support have a care plan on site.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the follow-up inspection 7 children's files were reviewed and one child's file was missing an enrollment date.

  Observation. Licensee shared that she has no photograph or digital image of any child in care.

  Corrective action. Please enusre, for each child, a photograph or digital image is kept on record so it can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

  Observation. Licensing observed that a child in care requires extra support with medication, however, a care plan is not available.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all children requiring extra support in the program have a care plan in place, discussed with the family, and signed off by a parent.

  Observation. 5 children's files were reviewed of which 2 files were missing consent for medical attention.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all childrens files are complete and up to date.
