Observation. Licensing observed the following during the inspection: -A loose cord in the nap room. This could cause a potential hazard -Rips in the protective cover on the diaper mat
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Licensing measured the water temperature during the inspection. It was 54.9 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Please ensure active supervision is provided in this area until this is corrected

A licensee must make available to parents information on the food and drink given to children.
Observation. A snack menu was not observed in the facility. In discussion the Licensee stated that she provides snack to the children but does not always communicate what snacks were given to the children's families.
Corrective action. Please ensure to develop a system to share with families what food and drink is given to their children.

Despite this section, licensee may employ a person as a volunteer who does not provide care to children or supervise children if the licensee or the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following (b) character references in respect of the person.
Observation. A minimum of three character references were not obtained for two volunteers.

Observation. Licensing observed that the fire drill for March 2023 was not recorded. Though it was not recorded, the manager said that it was completed with the children.
Corrective action. Ensure that the monthly fire drill is recorded.

Corrective action. Ensure that the fire extinguisher is serviced annually and ready in case of an emergency.
