    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: (a) 6 outlets around the program/nap room were exposed (b) Diaper Change Mat was ripped in two places (making it hard to sanitize) (c) A child with an allergy did not have anything posted

    Corrective action. Manager stated they will cover the outlets; the diaper change mat will ber replaced; and an allergy alert will be posted on the wall

    A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

    Observation. Licensing recorded the water temperature for the sink in the bathroom at 54.1 degrees celsius.

    Observation. Licensing reviewed 5 children's files of which 1 was missing an emergency contact and 1 was missing the phone number of a medical practitioner.

    Corrective action. Manager stated she will connect with families and update the files

    Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play area, Licensing observed paint peeling from the fence and a nail exposed to children.

    Corrective action. The Manager explained she plans on painting the fence and covering the nail.

    Observation. Upon inspection, there was no record of a fire drill conducted for the month of March.

    Corrective action. The Manager explained a fire drill was completed in March but was not recorded. This will be recorded after each fire drill is conducted.

    Observation. Upon inspection, the fire extinguisher had not been serviced annually.

    Corrective action. The Manger explained that she will look into getting this serviced and has noted that this needs to be done annually.
