  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records it was noted that one required evidence of validation of certificate of qualification and also the status of immunization in regards to COVID-19. These contraventions have been previously noted on an inspection report. All other required documents were present, valid and up-to-date, demonstrating that employees possess adequate training and experience to meet the care and supervision needs of children in care.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that two required Medical Practitioners' names and numbers. This contravention has been previously noted on an inspection report. It was also observed that one child had not been signed out upon departure on the attendance record, this was corrected during inspection. The Minor Incident Log, Outdoor Inspection Log, Fire Drill Practice log, and Emergency Preparedness Practice log were reviewed during inspection, and noted to be complete and up-to-date.

    Observation. The License posted in the facility is not the current License. A new License will be issued for posting. There have been no significant changes to operation or structure since previous inspection.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. Attendance records were up-to-date and accurate upon review. Fire Drill practices completed monthly and documented. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that a care plan was required in order to be complete. Two records require doctor's name and number, and one requires care card number in order to be complete.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records it was noted that one requires evidence that references have been checked, at least one requires evidence of validation of certificate of qualification and several require updated Immunization information regarding COVID-19 immunization status. Upon discussion it was noted that the Emergency Preparedness plan has been verbally reviewed with employees regularly, but has not been physically practiced annually.

    Observation. During inspection it was noted that the hot water tank is accessible to children. The facility appears sanitary, free from physical hazards and materials and equipment appear to be in good repair. All materials and equipment appears to be appropriate to the ages and developmental levels of children served.
