Observation. Staff files reviewed did not contain all of the information required by section 19 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Evidence of reference checks and immunization status were not consistently present for review. All must be obtained and onsite for review to ensure adequate staffing is in place prior to employment. Licensing must receive written confirmation that staffing records are complete no later than December 4, 2025.

Observation. Child records reviewed did not consistently contain a physician phone number, if they have a family physician. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that this be included for all children enrolled. This is to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency. Daily attendance did not consistently include time of departure for all children in care. Five days in the past three months were identified as having incomplete attendance. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that time of arrival and departure be recorded daily for all children in attendance. This is to ensure accurate record keeping and preparedness in the event of an emergency. Licensing must receive written confirmation that attendance and child records are complete no later than December 4, 2025.

Observation. Cleaning products located under kitchen sink were accessible to children in care. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that children not have access to anything that could be hazardous to their health and safety. These products pose a risk to children if accessed and ingested. Licensing must receive written confirmation that all hazardous products have been made inaccessible no later than November 21, 2025.
