Observation. Groups of children from different service types were observed to be using the playground at the same time. Staff appeared unable to ensure that children from different service types were not mixed during play. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that children be grouped separately (in accordance with Schedule E) to prevent the risk of injury and allow for adequate supervision by staff. Licensing must receive written confirmation that children will be grouped in accordance with Schedule E while using the outdoor play area no later than December 3, 2025.

Observation. Two staff files reviewed did not contain all of the information required by section 19 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Evidence of reference checks, immunization status and a copy of a valid ECE certificate were not present for review. All must be obtained and onsite for review to ensure adequate staffing is in place. Licensing must receive written confirmation that staffing records are complete no later than December 3, 2025.

Observation. Child records were reviewed at random. One child registration record was found to be incomplete. No medical information or consents could be located. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that all of the required information be on site prior to a child attending in order to ensure staff are prepared in the event of an emergency. Licensing must receive written confirmation that child records are complete no later than December 3, 2025.
