• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The fire drill record for 2025 was reviewed during inspection. Drill dates for April and May had not been recorded. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that a minimum of one fire drill per month be conducted in order to ensure preparedness in the event of a fire. Licensing must receive written confirmation that the fire drill record is up to date and that drills will be scheduled monthly no later than June 23, 2025.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Child registration records were reviewed for all children in attendance at time of inspection. Some records were found to be incomplete. Items found to be missing were immunization status, physician name and phone number. This information is required by the Child Care Licensing Regulation in order to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency or outbreak situation. Licensing must receive written confirmation that all registration records have been reviewed and contain both immunization status and physician information by June 23, 2025. The licensee's valid criminal record clearance letter and first aid certificates could not be located at time of inspection. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that all facility records be located in a single location on site and available for review during inspections to ensure that they can be verified. Confirmation was received that both certificates are valid. Licensing must receive written confirmation that all required records are located on site no later than June 23, 2025.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Licensee criminal record check has now expired. Criminal record clearance letters must be valid at all times. A system of monitoring expiration dates must be in place.

  Observation. At time of inspection, records for employee could not be produced. Licensee employs a second responsible adult for days when attendance exceeds 12. Please ensure employee records are on site and include all of the following: valid criminal record check, resume, references, evidence of 20 hours relevant training, immunization status.
